The Most Useful Features of Z-Stream

What’s New?

Z-Stream: it’s the latest app for managing your agile team, designed with a wide range of departments and features in mind. Before you dive in with Z-Stream, however, you want to make sure you’ve got a good idea of the functionality it can offer you! Don’t miss out on any of these features for your agile team.

#1: Dashboard

The dashboard, or dash, is your control panel. Located directly on the first page of Z-Stream, it displays the controls and provides a wide range of important information, including:
1. Your products
2. Active sprints
3. Your tasks
4. Last logged work
5. Time logged this week or this month
6. Your work plan
The Z-Stream dashboard visually displays all the important aspects of your work in a way that’s simple and clear, allowing you to more effectively manage your time and the tasks in front of you.

#2: Filters

The number of products within a company or the number of tasks within a sprint can be significant. The filter option provides quick access to the information on specific products, releases, sprints, and tasks as well as reports on those tasks, statuses, the employees assigned to them, and other key data. With the help of convenient and simple cross-filtering for each category, you can quickly find and sort all the data you need for your reports and other information.

#3: Permissions

As a rule, several people will work on a single product at the same time. Team size depends on how big the product is, not on an arbitrarily-decided team size! That doesn’t mean, however, that all team members need access to the same tasks and abilities. Some members of the team, for example, may need to have access to the ability to create tasks, edit them, and manage the product and other team members. Z-Stream offers the ability to give different levels of access to different team members depending on their job duties and level of responsibility. This means you can easily customize access to key tasks throughout the app.

#4: Timesheets

Your timesheet section is the dashboard for the time you’ve spent working on each of your projects. Depending on your role in the company and the permissions you’ve been given, you can see a report of the time you or other employees have spent on specific product, including the amount of time spent on a specific task. You can also see who has worked on a product for a specific amount of time or during a specific period. Use this feature to:
1. Log and track your time
2. Track the time spent by other employees on a specific project
3. Send your data as a Google sheets report instantly, without leaving the page
On the timesheets page, you’ll be able to easily filter by product, users, or a time range, making it easy to get the exact data you need for a specific report, project, or manager.

#5: Quality Assurance

You don’t need extra plugins to make sure that your product quality is high! You can create test suites for products, write test cases, and run individual tests for various tasks. Created for QA and developers, this key feature is designed to help streamline your creation and testing process. The quality assurance section also allows you to:
1. Manage, track, and organize your software testing efforts efficiently.
2. Set dates and statuses, including planned dates, the dates you actually started, test dates, and re-test dates
3. Set progress (did you pass or fail your QA assessments?)
4. Assign and monitor tests and progress
The quality assurance section can easily be filtered by product, sprint, the person assigned to the item, and a wide range of other features, allowing you to easily reach the item you need to find when you start your search. It’s modern test management designed with your team’s specific needs in mind.

#6: Release Notes

Forget the pain of manually gathering tasks and statuses into a document, especially when you’re asked for reports that range from Sprint to Release or Product. In the release notes section, you’ll be able to quickly and easily create reports on products, releases, sprints, and more. With the help of a detailed cross-filtering option, you can automatically generate a report with the specific data you need. Then, send the report directly from the release note page to as many recipients as you need–all with one easy click.
In our upcoming blogs, we’ll take a closer look at the more detailed features associated with Z- Stream and how they can help your agile team improve your product development efforts. You’ll take a look at how Z-Stream can help clients, supervisors, and employees all better reach their overall goals.
